Springtime Flowers

Ok, so it's not spring yet, but I have managed to make some flowers amidst the snow! My sister has this really cute headband with a flower that keeps her ears warm in the cold!I saw it, loved it, and thought, I can make that! So I tried my hand at crocheting flowers! It took me about 30 minutes before I had my first flower! I added it to a headband, and voila! I was so excited that I had figured it out, I made one for Kathryn too! (My cousin Stephanie is pregnant with her second child; the first is an adorable little boy! I told her that she just has to have a little girl so I can make more of these!)We met the Nerbers in Ottawa this past weekend for a hockey tournament. Their middle son is on a traveling hockey team, and we had the opportunity to watch two of his games on Saturday. We were supposed to go skating on the famous Rideau Canal, one of the largest natural skating rinks. The weather had other plans though with a frostbite warning! Someone laughed when I said that I'd never lived in a place with that had frostbite warnings!
